Services for Children with Additional Needs
At some point in their lives 20% of children and young people are expected to need additional support of some kind to maximise their development. Much of this support is provided through schools and Surrey Services for Families provides a range of services to support schools, families and children through our locality teams. Families who feel that their child may need some extra help, should contact their school. If your child is not yet in school, or if you have concerns for the child’s welfare or protection you should phone us on 08456 009 009.
Accessing social care services for children
Some children are very vulnerable and need social work support. This includes children who may be at risk of harm. If you have any concerns or worries about a child call 08456 009 009.
For child protection concerns about adults employed or acting as volunteers to work with children call 01372 833310 for a consultation. (Maintained schools may call their Local Education Officer.)
